Safety Isn’t a Slogan – It’s How We Work Every Single Day

At Mole•Master, we say safety is always job #1. That’s not a tagline -it’s a principle that shapes every decision we make, every crew we send out, and every piece of equipment we design.

Here’s why we take it so seriously. Grain entrapments and confined space incidents in the silo and bin industry remain a genuine and persistent danger. The data is sobering: industry reports have consistently documented dozens of entrapment cases each year, with a significant portion being fatal. These are preventable tragedies and reducing them is part of why we do what we do.

Trained to the highest standards

Every Mole•Master technician is MSHA 5000-23 certified and trained to comply with all current OSHA standards. Our in-place safety program covers Confined Space Entry, Lock Out / Tag Out, Hazard Recognition, and Right-To-Know procedures. Our highly skilled staff consistently meets or exceeds OSHA/MSHA requirements – and we treat that as a baseline, not a finish line.

We also know that the regulations our clients deal with aren’t one-size-fits-all. Whether the standards that apply to your facility are OSHA, MSHA, state-wide, regional, site-specific, or industry-specific, our teams educate themselves on what’s relevant to your operation before they arrive.

We put our money where our mouth is.

At our corporate headquarters in Marietta, Ohio, we’ve installed a 36-foot bulk storage silo specifically for training purposes. It gives our crews the ability to practice confined space entry, proper lifting techniques, equipment rigging, and hands-on silo cleaning in a controlled environment – before they’re ever on your site.

That commitment has been recognized: Mole•Master has received the “100% Safety Award” from the Mid-Ohio Valley Safety Council, along with numerous other safety awards over the years. We are also active members of several industry safety associations.

The safest job is one that never requires entry.

One of the biggest ways we protect workers is by using remote and proprietary technologies that eliminate the need for unsafe silo entry in the first place. Our equipment is designed with safety as the starting point, not an afterthought.
